Buick's Golden Anniversary, 1953, brought V8 engines to the Super and Roadmaster models. The 322 cid engine was rated at 188 horsepower. The improved Dynaflow automatic transmission was a bit more responsive than earlier renditions. The grille sported 25 "teeth". The bumper ran straight across the front, rather than dipping under the grille as on the 1951-1952 models. A solid bgar connected the two bumper guards. Oval nacelles carried the headlamps and parking lights.
