The oversized "toothy" grille was the predominate design feature of the 1950 Buicks. The grille completely filled the grille opening and spilled out over the bumper, giving the car a "buck tooth" look. Nine large "teeth" were lined up between large round bumper guards. Buick went to a one-piece windshield in 1950. The Roadmaster side trim consisted of a spear beginning above the front wheel cutout, sweeping down to a panel in front of the rear wheel, and continuing around the rear wheel well and ending just short of the rear bumper. Other models side trim consisted of a straight spear beginning just behind the front wheel and continuing just short of the back bumper.
